Position Overview

The Ticketing/Booking Agent is responsible for assisting customers in booking domestic and international flights. The role includes providing fare quotations, issuing tickets, rebooking, processing cancellations, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring accurate documentation for all flight transactions. The agent ensures a smooth, efficient, and professional travel experience for all clients.

Key Responsibilities1. Flight Booking & Ticketing

  • Process flight reservations for domestic and international routes.
  • Issue airline tickets through booking platforms (e.g., GDS such as Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo — adjust as needed).
  • Provide fare quotations, flight options, schedules, and travel requirements.
  • Assist with rebooking, rerouting, and reissuance of tickets.
  • Handle booking cancellations and process refunds or travel credits in accordance with airline policies.

2. Customer Service

  • Attend to customer inquiries via phone, email, or walk-in.
  • Provide accurate information on flight availability, baggage rules, visa requirements, and travel advisories.
  • Resolve booking issues, complaints, and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Maintain excellent customer service to ensure repeat business.

3. Documentation & Coordination

  • Prepare and maintain records of bookings, invoices, receipts, and itineraries.
  • Coordinate with airlines, travel partners, and internal departments when needed.
  • Ensure all booking details are accurate before ticket issuance.
  • Update customers regarding schedule changes, cancellations, or airline notifications.

4. Sales & Promotion

  • Offer and promote available travel services, upgrades, and add-ons.
  • Meet monthly sales and booking targets set by management.

5. Compliance & Standards

  • Follow airline rules, government travel regulations, and company policies.
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of customer information.
  • Stay updated on airline promos, fare rules, travel requirements, and industry changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or related field (preferred but not required).
  • Experience as a Ticketing Agent, Travel Consultant, or Customer Service Representative is an advantage.
  • Knowledge in using GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) preferred.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Excellent customer-service orientation.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple bookings.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, email, booking platforms).
