What you will do: Ensure understanding of the Project Brief and design requirements; raise Technical Queries and Requests for information to ensure complete and unambiguous design information. Draft, prepare, and self-check studies, specifications, reports, design calculations, and structural details/sketches in accordance with project requirements, including stability checks and compliance with codes. Ensure that designs are correctly interpreted and represented on drawings.

Provide drawings/sketches for own designs and produce sketches for Drafters. Ensure timely delivery of markups to the drafting team. Review and incorporate comments from the Design Checker.

Check and prepare CAD drawings according to standards as necessary. Review shop drawings. Perform quality design checks and drawing reviews as required.

Organize, draft, and coordinate technical documents. Assist Project Manager and attend meetings as directed. Draft correspondence for Project Manager and communicate with the Design Team on daily matters.

Utilize standardized calculation systems to improve team performance. Conduct site inspections as instructed. Undergo relevant training as directed.

Comply with all SHEQ obligations and develop the ability to apply safety in design. Prepare technical reports on small to medium projects. Apply relevant legislations, standards, guidelines, and project specifications.

Manage workshare responsibilities. Perform other duties to support outstanding client service. What we will love about you: Registered Civil Engineer Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Applications Minimum 6 years' experience in designing multi-level residential, commercial, and institutional projects Experience with reinforced & post-tensioned concrete and structural steelwork Experience with design software including RAPT, RAM Concept, Microstran, and ETABS Familiarity with Australian Standards and experience in an international design office is a plus Ability to check documentation accurately and promptly Strong team player with professional and outcome-focused approach Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with clients and team members Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Knowledge of relevant systems, procedures, and practices Awareness of risk management, ethics, and safety Understanding of WSP's organizational capabilities Developing technical skills across disciplines Experience in managing project scope and client relations Supervisory skills What you will love about us: At WSP you'll be part of a supportive organization that encourages development through training, networks, and wellbeing programs.
