Job Summary:

The role will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring that all financial practices comply with company policies and industry regulations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and has a strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record and track day-to-day transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and payments.
  • Ensure accurate general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Post transactions into accounting software and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Assist in preparing sales tax filings and ensure tax compliance related to purchases and sales of salt and chemicals.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring all records are available and accurate
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
  • Provide the finance team with timely financial information to assist with strategic decision-making.
  • Support the finance team with other ad hoc tasks or projects as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required for this position.
  • A minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in the distribution, manufacturing, or chemicals industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, and financial reporting).
  • Understanding of accounting principles, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with vendors, customers, and internal departments.
Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday with alternate Saturday (Half day)
  • Office-based role (Macapagal Avenue, Pasay City)
