The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely coordination of transportation, distribution, and documentation activities. This role involves managing truck allocation, monitoring third-party truckers, coordinating inter-plant and warehouse transfers, ensuring compliance with ISO and HACCP standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Truck & Delivery Coordination

  2. Prepares truck tray allocation to maximize utilization and support efficient loading of breads and trade items.

  3. Coordinates and schedules inter-plant and inter-warehouse transfers of finished goods and trade items.
  4. Ensures availability of commercial vehicles in alignment with Sales requirements.

  5. Dispatch Monitoring & Performance Management

  6. Monitors truckers' punctuality on arrival and departure at plants, feeding stations, and outlets, issuing penalties for late arrivals when necessary.

  7. Conducts regular and random loading audits to ensure compliance with established schedules and procedures.
  8. Evaluates truckers' performance against agreed standards and provides feedback for continuous improvement.

  9. Fleet & Repair Coordination

  10. Coordinates with Fleet Section and accredited repair shops for PMS scheduling, repair and maintenance, transfers, and deployment of trucks.

  11. Facilitates and evaluates corrective repair requests and demand-driven maintenance activities.
  12. Monitors repair shop billing and payments; assists in sourcing and accrediting new truck repair providers when needed.
  13. Coordinates with Laguna Logistics and Purchasing for booking or rental of backup trucks.

  14. Documentation & Reporting

  15. Prepares, processes, and ensures accuracy of Trip Tickets and other transport-related documents.

  16. Submits timely and accurate reports and documents to FRS, following up on unremitted files.
  17. Prepares and maintains ISO & HACCP records for the distribution section.
  18. Prepares regular operations and performance reports based on agreed frequency and deadlines.

  19. Collaboration & Training

  20. Provides timely updates and resolution of delivery concerns to the Sales team.

  21. Participates in the training and orientation of new and existing truckers to ensure compliance with company policies and logistics standards.
  22. Collaborates with cross-functional teams (Sales, Fleet, Purchasing, Production) to ensure seamless logistics operations.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of any 4-year course, preferably Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • With 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in logistics, distribution, or related functions.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledgeable in ISO standards and documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Spreadsheets.
