Duties and Responsibilities

  1. ASSIST IN THE OPENING OF NEW ACCOUNTS

1.1 Conduct initial interview of prospective clients

1.2 Brief the client on the features of the Bank products and services they want to open/avail such as minimum initial deposit and maintaining requirement, prevailing interest rate, and terms and condition of the account.

1.3 Inform the client about the documents required for each type of bank product.

1.4 Check the completeness of the documents submitted.

1.5 Introduces the client to the Branch Manager or Cashier for final interview and verification of documents submitted and approval.

1.6 Assist the client in the proper filling up bank forms

1.7 Encode in the computer the opening of the account upon approval of the Branch Head or Cashier and prepare the passbook.

1.8 Request client to fill-up deposit slip and assist him/her to make the initial deposit.

1.9 Forward signature cards to the Cashier.

1.10 File signature cards (Numeric- Cashier, Alphabetical-Vault).

1.11 Send "Thank You "letter to the newly opened accounts.

2. ASSIST IN THE MAINTENANCE OF CLIENT'S ACCOUNT

2.1 Updating of passbook

2.2 Safe keeps and dispatches returned item and informed clients of their returned items

2.3. Send "Dormancy "letter to inactive accounts

  1. ASSISTS TO OTHER OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

3.1 Prepares debit and credit tickets.

3.3 Processes client's requisition for passbook

3.4 Processes E-Payment facilities

3.5 Safe keeps and dispatches monthly bank statement. Request client to acknowledge receipt of bank statement

3.6 Prepares daily, weekly and monthly reports on account opened, closed and dormant.

3.7 Prepares/maintains various reports, registers and logbook.

3.8. Performs such other function as may be required by the superior officer.

  • Preferably a graduate of Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent
  • With pleasing personality and customer oriented
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communication
  • Must be computer literate
  • Can work under pressure
  • Must be trust worthy, honest and dedicated
  • With high level of integrity
  • With keen attention to detail
  • Strong ethics to manage confidential data
