Location: Manila NCR (Remote / WFH)
Reports to: Managing Director
Direct reports: Operations, Heads of Departments, Product and Service Development/Delivery
Role Summary
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for turning strategy into execution. They oversee day‑to‑day operations, drive operational excellence, and ensure the company scales efficiently while delivering outstanding results for customers, employees, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the MD and leadership team to define and execute the company's long‑term strategy.
- Translate strategic goals into clear operational plans, priorities, and KPIs.
- Provide data‑driven insights to support executive decision‑making.
Operational Excellence
- Own and optimize core business operations, processes, and systems across departments.
- Design and implement scalable processes to support growth and efficiency.
- Set and monitor performance metrics to ensure operational targets are met or exceeded.
People & Culture
- Lead, mentor, and develop high‑performing teams and managers.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with HR on workforce planning, talent development, and organizational design.
Financial & Risk Management
- Work closely with the CFO to manage budgets, forecasts, and cost efficiency.
- Identify operational risks and implement controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate them.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal standards.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Align operations across departments such as Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and HR.
- Break down silos and ensure smooth communication and execution across the organization.
- Support service, product and market expansion initiatives from an operational standpoint.
Customer & Stakeholder Focus
- Ensure operations consistently support a high‑quality customer experience.
- Serve as a key point of contact for major operational partners and vendors.
- Represent operations in board meetings and executive updates as needed.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, general management, or similar roles.
- Proven track record in scaling operations and leading teams in a SME/enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of financial management, KPIs, and data‑driven decision‑making.
- Experience designing and implementing processes, systems, and tools to support growth.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate strategically while being hands‑on when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Service Supply (BPO), Education and SaaS
- Previous experience as a VP of Operations, or General Manager.
- MBA or equivalent business/management qualification (nice to have, not required).
