Staff Nurse

  • Graduate of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field
  • Must be a licensed nurse with relevant experience
  • Experience in the Operating Room (OR) is an advantage
  • Willing to be assigned in Taguig
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

Job Responsibilities (LASIK):

  • Obtains comprehensive relevant patient data through: (a) interview; (b) correct obtainment of vital signs, which include pain; (c) The use of advanced assessment techniques that is focused or systems approach; (d) correct interpretation of data obtained from monitoring equipment; and (e) correct interpretation of diagnostic results.
  • Maintains complete, accurate, concise, and updated documentation of patient care. Observes procedures and policies pertaining to any aspect of clinical charting and reporting.
  • Encodes patient's information in the Clinical Information & Management System
  • Draft the medical abstract of the patient upon his/her request and ensure that it is checked and signed by the attending physician before issuance to the requesting patient
  • Be attentive to patient's needs; initiates steps that will comply with their requirements to meet and exceed their expectations.
  • Collect patient feedback and keep superiors informed regarding problems or issues in the patient care within the nursing unit.
  • Develops, executes and evaluates established plan of care for specific procedures/patient such as but not limited to: care of the emergency and trauma patient. Delivers nursing care consistent with the Patient's Bill of Rights (i.e. Right to privacy, right to confidentiality, right to refuse treatment)
  • Responds to and provide appropriate nursing action for emergent situations
  • Coordinate monthly patients' schedule of operations.
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative orientation to patients regarding the do's and don'ts. Assist with patient care in the recovery room, procedure room and operating room.
  • Give assistance in dilating the patient's eyes during emergencies such as lack of manpower due to unscheduled absences of other ORTs/nurses.
