What You'll Be Doing

  • Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign codes for patient encounters, procedures, and services based on industry standards
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant coding guidelines and regulations (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS)
  • Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies
  • Stay current on updates and changes in coding regulations and best practices
  • Provide feedback and suggest improvements to enhance coding workflows and accuracy
  • Collaborate with the broader team to support quality and compliance initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • At least 2 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in a home health or similar healthcare setting
  • Solid knowledge of coding systems and regulations (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Proficiency with medical coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth
