Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst with deep expertise in Google Sheets to collect, clean, analyze, and visualize data to support informed business decisions. This role combines spreadsheet automation and reporting to empower teams with timely, accurate insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Management & Preparation

    • Collect data from multiple sources (spreadsheets, APIs, databases).

    • Clean, validate, and organize datasets for accurate analysis.

    • Maintain structured data systems within Google Sheets.

  • Advanced Google Sheets Work

    • Design and maintain sophisticated spreadsheets with pivot tables, formulas, data validation, and charts.

    • Automate repetitive or complex processes using Google Apps Script.

  • Analysis & Insights

    • Perform exploratory and statistical analyses to uncover trends, patterns, and outliers.

    • Monitor KPIs, detect anomalies, and generate actionable recommendations.

  • Visualization & Reporting

    • Develop stakeholder-ready dashboards and reports via Sheets (or integrated BI tools).

    • Visualize data clearly with charts, summaries, and annotated insights.

  • Collaboration & Support

    • Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions.

    • Train users on Google Sheets best practices and troubleshooting.

  • Process Improvement

    • Implement and document data standards and workflows.

    • Continuously refine tools and processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, or related field.

  • Expertise in Google Sheets: advanced formulas, pivot tables, conditional formatting, data validation.

  • Proficiency with Google Apps Script or equivalent for automation.

  • Solid analytical skills: data cleaning, trend detection, basic statistics.

  • Strong data visualization skills; experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) is a plus.

  • Competency in SQL, Python or R is advantageous.

  • Excellent communication skills – able to explain findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Experience

  • 1 year in a data analytics or reporting role involving advanced spreadsheet work.

  • Previous success automating complex processes in Sheets.

  • Hands-on experience training colleagues or stakeholders.
