Job Summary:

The Creative Design Director is a visionary and strategic leader responsible for overseeing the creative

aspects of architectural design projects, managing design teams, collaborating with clients, and ensuring that

project milestones are met with the highest standards of quality and innovation. This role demands a strong

and adaptable personality, capable of handling the demands of multiple projects across disciplines while

fostering a culture of professionalism and creativity within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Team Management

o Direct and inspire a multidisciplinary team of architects, designers, and project coordinators to achieve creative and operational goals.

o Establish clear roles, objectives, and performance expectations for team members, fostering an environment of continuous professional growth.

o Conduct regular team meetings to review project status, resolve issues, and strategize future design directions.

o Mentor junior designers, providing guidance and constructive feedback to help them develop their skills and align with the firm's creative vision.

1. Client Relations and Meetings

o Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their vision, requirements, and concerns to ensure alignment throughout the design process.

o Conduct client meetings with confidence, articulating design concepts, addressing feedback, and navigating challenging discussions with professionalism and diplomacy.

o Present design solutions and proposals effectively, adapting communication style to the

client's technical understanding and preferences.

o Build and maintain strong client relationships, enhancing client satisfaction and repeat

business opportunities.

1. Project Monitoring and Delivery

o Oversee the entire project lifecycle from initial concept development to final project delivery, ensuring that all design elements align with client expectations, timeline, and budget.

o Monitor project progress and resolve any issues that arise, proactively anticipating potential challenges to minimize disruptions.

o Ensure all projects comply with local and international standards, codes, and regulations.

o Work closely with project managers to maintain efficient workflows and mitigate any risks

associated with project timelines and deliverables.

1. Creative Direction and Quality Control

o Develop and implement creative strategies and innovative design solutions that reflect the firm's commitment to excellence in architecture and consultancy.

o Set the design quality benchmark, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and aesthetic quality in all deliverables.

o Lead design reviews and critique sessions, guiding the team towards design improvements that align with the firm's standards.

o Encourage experimentation and interdisciplinary collaboration to push the boundaries of

conventional design solutions.

o Model exemplary professionalism, including punctuality, accountability, and ethical conduct in all interactions.

o Demonstrate resilience and adaptability, navigating the ambiguity inherent in high-stakes

design projects with composure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Master's degree in Architecture, Design, or a related field.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior design role, with at least 10-15 years in a leadership position.

• Proven experience in managing large, multidisciplinary design projects with demanding timelines and complex requirements.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in architectural design, creativity, and project management.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification from a recognized architecture or design institution.

• Experience in client management and/or consulting.

• Knowledge of sustainable design practices and green building standards.
