Job Summary:

The Rigger is responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and dismantling rigging equipment used in lifting, positioning, or securing loads, including telecommunication towers, antennas, and heavy equipment. The role requires working at heights, following strict safety protocols, and ensuring all rigging activities are performed efficiently and safely.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Rigging Operations

  2. Set up and dismantle rigging equipment such as ropes, cables, pulleys, and winches.

  3. Secure loads for lifting and ensure balance and stability during operations.
  4. Assist in the installation of antennas, dishes, cables, and tower components.
  5. Tower Work & Installation

  6. Climb towers and structures to install or repair telecommunications equipment.

  7. Perform cable pulling, routing, and securing in accordance with technical specifications.
  8. Safety Compliance

  9. Follow all safety standards for working at heights and handling lifting equipment.

  10. Inspect rigging equipment before use to ensure safety and functionality.
  11. Equipment & Tool Maintenance

  12. Maintain and store rigging tools and safety gear properly.

  13. Report defective tools or equipment to the supervisor immediately.
  14. Team Coordination

  15. Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other crew members to complete projects on time.

  16. Communicate clearly during lifting operations to avoid hazards.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in rigging and tower climbing (e.g., Basic Rigger, Advanced Rigger, or equivalent).
  • Experience in rigging operations, preferably in telecommunications or construction.
  • Good physical condition, able to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and load-handling techniques.

Work Environment:
  • Outdoor and field-based work with travel to various sites.
  • Work at heights for extended periods.
  • Exposure to varying weather and physically demanding conditions.
