Core Responsibilities

The Senior Finance Officer - Treasury would typically be responsible for the following key areas:

  1. Cash and Liquidity Management

  2. Daily Cash Positioning: Monitor and manage daily cash balances across various bank accounts to ensure optimal liquidity for operations.

  3. Cash Flow Forecasting: Develop, maintain, and analyze short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts to anticipate funding needs and surplus cash availability.

  4. Fund Management: Initiate and manage fund transfers, cash concentration, and disbursements to ensure timely payments and maximize cash utilization.

  5. Banking and Relationship Management

  6. Bank Relations: Serve as a key liaison with local and international banking partners, negotiating services and fees, and managing account documentation.

  7. Financial Risk Management

  8. FX Risk: Monitor and help manage Foreign Exchange (FX) risk exposures, especially crucial for a multinational logistics company dealing with cross-border payments.

  9. Interest Rate Risk: Track and analyze interest rate movements and their impact on the company's cash and debt portfolio.

  10. Internal Controls: Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with company treasury policies to safeguard financial assets.

  11. Reporting and Analysis

  12. Treasury Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely daily, weekly, and monthly treasury reports (e.g., cash flow variance analysis, debt profile, and liquidity reports) for senior management.

  13. Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits related to treasury and banking activities.
  14. System Integrity: Ensure the accuracy of cash and bank data within the company's financial and ERP systems.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification is a plus
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of progressive experience in Treasury, Cash Management, or Corporate Finance, preferably in a large, high-volume environment or a logistics/e-commerce industry.
