POSITION SUMMARY:

The Technician, IT-Resort AV shall be accountable for support and assist in the configuration, testing, monitoring, operating and maintenance of 24/7 AV systems including Background Music, Public Area Digital Signage, Video Conferencing and AV system for property indoor attraction (DreamPlay).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Carry out daily operational task to ensure all Resort AV Systems are in good working condition.
  2. Ensures high standard of technical services are kept all times.
  3. Performs regular maintenance work according to the Operation & Maintenance manual.
  4. Provides technical support and offering guidance to users on using AV/IT equipment.
  5. Carry out troubleshooting and ad-hoc maintenance work in case of equipment/system breakdown.
  6. Participates on AV planning and implementation of company-wide Resort AV systems; evaluates AV plans as they pertain to in-house technological needs.
  7. Ability to work individually and within a team.
  8. Ensures the tidiness and cleanliness of the working bench, workshop and storage areas so that a safe and decent workplace is maintained.
  9. Performs other reasonable duties assigned by his superior from time to time.
  10. Ensures the Health and Safety measures are always met.

QUALIFICATIONS:

I. Experience

1. Preferably 2+ years of experience as an AV Support role from a 5-star hotel or Integrated Resort, Casino/Hotel/Entertainment industry in a similar capacity.

2. Working knowledge on AV system operation and maintenance, installation and troubleshooting is an advantage.

3. Knowledgeable in Programming and configuration of audio digital signal processors (DSP) including Biamp, QSYS, Symetrix and the like.

  1. Understanding of Dante audio network technology.
  2. Knowledgeable in Programming and configuration of Media Servers including Alcorn McBride, 7th Sense.
  3. Understanding of Content Management Systems/Digital Signage.
  4. Familiarity with Zoom & Microsoft Teams conferencing.

II. Education

1. Diploma/ Certification in AV/Electronics Engineering/IT or any relevant course would be an advantage.

2. AV discipline and/or relevant AV technology training will be a plus.

III. Skills / Competencies

1. Intermediate English oral and written communication skills.

2. Technical proficiency. Ability to operate, troubleshoot and maintain AV/IT equipment.

3. Strong background on AV/IT systems including software, hardware and networking.

4. Pro-active/Positive Can-Do attitude.

5. Strong ability to work under pressure.

6. Knowledge of computer hardware configuration and software programming is an advantage.
