A. Operations & Process Control

  • Oversee daily plastic injection molding operations and ensure production targets are met.
  • Ensure correct machine parameters, mold settings, and process conditions for each product.
  • Lead mold changeovers, start-ups, and troubleshooting of molding defects.
  • Review and approve machine setup sheets and work instructions.

B. Technical & Engineering Support

  • Troubleshoot machine, mold, and process issues to minimize downtime.
  • Validate new molds, materials, and process improvements.
  • Support new product introductions and engineering trials.
  • Implement productivity and efficiency improvement projects.

C. Maintenance & Equipment Management

  • Coordinate with maintenance team for preventive maintenance and repair of molding machines, molds, robots, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Ensure proper documentation of machine performance and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor spare parts availability.

D. Quality Management

  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and product specifications.
  • Analyze defects (e.g., short shot, warpage, flash, sink marks) and implement corrective & preventive actions.
  • Work closely with QA for process audits and quality improvement.

E. Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervise molding technicians, set-up personnel, and maintenance staff.
  • Provide training on machine operation, mold setup, and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct daily team briefings and performance evaluations.
  • Enforce safety, discipline, and company rules inside the production area.

F. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly engineering performance reports.
  • Maintain updated process sheets, OEE reports, downtime logs, and defect analysis.
  • Recommend improvement plans to management.
