JOB SUMMARY

The general accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. This role supports month-end closing, audits, and financial analysis and works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the integrity of financial data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General Accounting & Reporting

  • Record and maintain accurate general ledger entries

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

  • Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile balance sheet accounts

  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries

  • Maintain accounting records and supporting schedules

  • Compliance & Audit Support

  • Ensure compliance with Philippine accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls

  • Assist in internal and external audits

  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails

  • Analysis & Budget Support

  • Analyze financial data and explain variances

  • Assist in budget preparation and forecasting

Collaboration

  • Coordinate with other departments on financial matters

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy

CPA preferred but not required

2–4 years experience in general accounting and financial reporting

Technical Skills

  • Strong GL and reconciliation skills

  • Knowledge of BIR taxation basics

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with accounting systems is a plus

  • Detail-oriented

  • Deadline-driven

  • Strong communication skills
