Technical Planning

Job Summary:

The Technical Planning and Engineering Services Supervisor oversees the planning, scheduling, and coordination of all aircraft maintenance activities, ensuring timely execution of maintenance programs and adherence to company standards. Lead and support the Technical Planning and Engineering Team by providing direction, conducting audits, monitoring fleet and project progression, and resolving operational issues such as scheduling conflicts, material shortages, and capacity requirements. The role also collaborates closely with management, vendors, and cross-functional departments while maintaining accurate maintenance records, forecasting schedules, and assisting in team training and fleet oversight.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plans methods, procedures and control techniques to implement and carry out company programs for planning.
• Cooperates with the Director of Maintenance and/or Maintenance Manager to develop major or difficult work orders, or to reevaluate priorities.
• Responsible for overall supervision of the Technical Planning and Engineering Team, including providing guidance and instruction concerning the execution of all daily job functions, scheduling, recommending for procedural training and performance evaluations.
• Analyzes project progression and adjust as necessary.
• Build business relationships with outside vendors and others.
• Perform routine audits of maintenance practices and/or systems ensuring the accuracy and timely completion of all schedule maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate the activity required upon new aircraft arrival and the transfer of aircraft to and from the company fleet.
• Accomplishes additional tasks as directed by the Company Management as assigned.
• Ensure the timely execution of all Technical Planning and Engineering Services plans.
• Monitor fleet maintenance capacity requirements and flight schedule changes and coordinate the necessary changes to ensure the minimum maintenance requirements are met.
• Oversee the timely completion of the project.
• Notify any concerned departments in the event of a scheduling conflict or material shortage effecting the timely compliance of all scheduled maintenance requirements.
• Supports and provides back-up for the Managers and other team.
• Analysis and plans the project as assigned by the Director of Operations and/or Management as needed.
• Forecasts, publishes, revises and updates planned line and maintenance schedule for all PhilJets aircraft or clients of PhilJets; maintains oversight of the fleet.
• Assist in maintaining the status of all aircrafts of the company or clients of the company.
• Assist in coordinating the scheduling, material requirements, and compliance of aircraft modifications.
• Assist in the training of new team members and/or trains personnel in all requirements for the Maintenance Planning positions.
• Assist and monitoring of team from time to time.
• Reviews databases of line and base maintenance capabilities and manpower availability to accurately plan and schedule work assignments.

Others

• Follows and participates actively in Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations.
• Develops own skills and industry knowledge in all areas of Technical Planning and Engineering Services Team as required by the Company and part of continuous learning and improvement through but not limited to further studies, trainings, etc.
• Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as needed within the scope of Technical Planning and Engineering Services Team function and in line with the limitations prescribed by the authority.
• Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate such as but not limited to changes in workload, rush job, emergencies, etc.
• Lead and motivate the team.
• Plan, review and manage local staffing, resources deployment and utilization.
• Conduct goal setting, performance evaluation, compensation for the team.
• Identify, assess, manage and develop the required competencies and skill sets; define development, succession, and retention plans.
