Permanent WFH: Senior DevOps Engineer.

Job Description:

A Development Operations Engineer works closely with developers, testers, and sysadmins to enable high-quality software development in an agile environment. Core Responsibilities

• Automate Processes:
• Create tools and release automation so that deployments are painless and require minimal intervention.
• Automate security controls, data protection, and vulnerability management in deployment pipelines.
• Documentations:
• Collaborate with developers to refine build, test, and release practices across the organization.
• Manage, document and enhance both automated and manual operational processes
• Monitoring:
• Monitor the performance of applications and systems to identify and resolve issues quickly
• Continuously monitor applications and infrastructure for potential vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation efforts
• Tool Development:
• Designs and implements significant part of the system/service from end to end.
• Collaborate with software engineers to identify and implement security measures in the development process.
• Develops strategies to protect infrastructure from cyber attacks
• Compliance:
• Analyze security systems and seek improvements on a continuous basis
• Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and compliance checks.
• Build a culture of customer satisfaction based on operational excellence, big picture understanding, continuous improvement, and proactive thinking
• Resolves issues in production. 24/7 support in case of emergency.
• Help drive Architecture discussions amongst fellow architects, senior engineers in the team and across the company.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Passion for self-driven, continuous learning both in and out of the office.
• Excellent communication skills are required to be able to convey technical issues and details to non-technical users.
• Knowledge of Bash, PowerShell, and/or Ansible.  At least, one of script skills should be really good.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and best practices (Github Action Workflows, ArgoCD, Octopus, Azure DevOps, any pipelines managed system)
• Familiarity with Agile (Scrum) software development, Git/GitHub, and related tools
• Experience with ELK stack (Kibana) plus.
• Expertise in object-oriented software development.
• Windows IIS and NT service troubleshooting experience must have
• Required to work flexible hours to support US time zone and operation. Time shift and On-call schedule will be in place.
• Debug production issues.
• Knowledge of networking including routing, switching, IP addresses and subnets, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, etc.
• Experience with VMWare, Azure or other cloud computing platform and virtualization technology.

Education and Training:

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Math, or equivalent degree or experience
• 5-10+ years of relevant engineering experience
