We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Proof of Delivery (POD) Auditor with a strong accounting background to ensure the accuracy and completeness of delivery documentation. The POD Auditor will be responsible for verifying delivery confirmations against invoices, investigating discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • POD Verification:

◦ Review and verify Proof of Delivery (POD) documents (e.g., delivery receipts, signed invoices) to ensure accuracy and completeness.

◦ Match POD documents with corresponding invoices and delivery orders to confirm successful delivery.

◦ Identify and investigate discrepancies between POD documents and invoices, such as missing signatures, incorrect quantities, or damaged goods.

  • Discrepancy Resolution:

◦ Communicate with internal departments (e.g., sales, logistics, customer service) and external parties (e.g., customers, delivery personnel) to resolve POD discrepancies.

◦ Document all communication and actions taken to resolve discrepancies.

◦ Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate supervisor or manager.

  • Data Entry and Record Keeping:

◦ Accurately enter POD information into the accounting system or database.

◦ Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all POD documents and related correspondence.

◦ Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.

  • Reporting and Analysis:

◦ Prepare regular reports on POD discrepancies and resolution rates.

◦ Analyze POD data to identify trends and areas for improvement in the delivery process.

◦ Provide recommendations to management on how to reduce POD discrepancies and improve efficiency.

  • Compliance:

◦ Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to POD documentation and verification.

◦ Assist with internal and external audits by providing POD documentation and explanations as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (1-3 years) in accounting, auditing, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
