Java Technical Lead

We are looking for a highly motivated Technical Lead to join our growing technology team. This role is key in leading the development and implementation of enterprise-level applications and ensuring that all technical solutions meet business, operational, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Oversight & Delivery

  • Lead and manage technical teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of projects
  • Develop and review technical specifications, architecture, and documentation
  • Ensure alignment with bank standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements
  • Support all phases of testing (SIT, UAT) and deployment

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Provide technical guidance to IT and business units
  • Contribute to the creation of technical requirements and RFP documentation
  • Assist in issue investigation, escalation, and resolution

Quality Assurance

  • Prepare architectural test cases and oversee technical testing
  • Conduct code and system reviews to maintain quality and consistency

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor technical team members
  • Evaluate team performance and provide feedback to functional managers
  • Recommend and facilitate training and development for team members

Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in software/application development
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical architecture or team lead role
  • Experience in a financial institution or related industry preferred

Technical Knowledge

  • Proficient in solution delivery life cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong experience in backend technologies: COBOL, CICS, Java/.NET, SQL
  • Familiar with modern software architecture principles
  • Exposure to banking/financial systems is a strong plus

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and supervisory skills

  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
