About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to manage full-spectrum accounting functions and ensure compliance with PFRS (Philippine Financial Reporting Standards) and SFRS (Singapore Financial Reporting Standards). The role involves performing regular bank reconciliations, managing payables and receivables, preparing monthly financial statements, supporting audits and tax filings, and assisting with budget preparation and variance analysis. Proficiency in Xero and hands-on experience with Singapore GST reporting are required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform bank reconciliations regularly, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Manage general accounting functions, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, including the creation and processing of invoices.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow) in accordance with PFRS and SFRS.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain accurate ledger accounts and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with auditors and provide required documentation during audit periods.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns to BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) and IRAS (Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore), including GST/VAT, income tax, and withholding taxes.
  • Use Xero for all accounting functions, including reconciliations, reporting, and system integrations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of PFRS and SFRS
  • Proficiency in Xero is required
  • Experience in Singapore GST preparation and filing
  • Familiarity with BIR and IRAS tax compliance
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Amenable to work onsite in both Muntinlupa and Makati
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
