Job Summary

The Building Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep, repair, and maintenance of company facilities, including retail stores (stand-alone and warehouse sale locations) and office premises. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment, with particular emphasis on air-conditioning systems and other critical building services.

Key Responsibilities


• Attend to all maintenance needs of retail stores, stand-alone outlets, warehouse sale locations, and office facilities


• Supervise and perform preventive and corrective maintenance of:


• Air-conditioning and ventilation systems


• Electrical systems


• Plumbing and sanitary systems


• Lighting fixtures and wiring


• Doors, ceilings, walls, flooring, and basic carpentry works


• Coordinate and monitor repair works, renovations, and minor construction activities


• Conduct regular facility inspections and ensure issues are promptly addressed


• Manage and supervise maintenance staff and third-party contractors


• Prepare maintenance schedules, work orders, and service reports


• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and local regulations


• Provide on-call or emergency maintenance support when needed


• Coordinate closely with store operations, warehouse, and office administration teams

Qualifications


• Graduate of Technical/Vocational course or related field (Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or equivalent)


• At least 3–5 years of experience in building or facilities maintenance, preferably in retail or commercial establishments


• Strong knowledge of air-conditioning maintenance and repair


• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance


• Proven supervisory and coordination skills


• Able to work independently with minimal supervision


• Willing to do fieldwork and travel to various store locations
