JOB SUMMARY The Furniture Carpentry Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily carpentry and furniture production activities, ensuring that work is completed according to approved designs, quality standards, safety rules, and production schedules. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Production Supervision Supervise carpenters and woodworkers in daily furniture production Assign tasks based on work orders, drawings, and production priorities Monitor productivity, workmanship, and adherence to timelines 2. Quality Control Ensure furniture products meet design specifications and quality standards Inspect work in progress and finished products Coordinate with Quality Control and Design teams for corrections and adjustments 3. Materials & Tools Management Coordinate with procurement and warehouse for material availability Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of tools and equipment Minimize material waste and report shortages 4. Coordination & Communication Work closely with Production Manager, Designers, and CNC Operators Participate in turnover meetings and production planning Report daily accomplishments, issues, and manpower concerns 5. Safety & Housekeeping Enforce safety policies, PPE usage, and proper machine operation Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area Report accidents, hazards, or unsafe conditions immediately 6. Training & Workforce Development Train and guide carpenters on proper techniques and standards Assist in onboarding and skills development of new workers Monitor performance and recommend training or disciplinary actions
