Job Summary:

The position is responsible for supervising the sales and operations of the assigned departments/brands. He/she oversees the management of properties in the designated area, the products stored and displayed, and the personnel within the organizational unit.

Job Responsibilities:

A. Management

Department / Brand Sales Management

  1. Monitors sales performance with the objective of meeting sales targets and recommends resolutions for shortfall sales.
  2. Prepares and submits forms and reports necessary for the performance of the job.
  3. Disseminates merchandise facts and information to Sales Personnel and relates the same to customers for proper merchandise handling as well as establishes customer contact through product presentation.
  4. Liaises between the store and merchandising to coordinate the implementation and communication of marketing programs and information.
  5. Identifies and recommends bestsellers and key item merchandise.
  6. Inform merchandising regarding price discrepancies.
  7. Attends product training and monthly meetings with merchandising managers to align sales objectives.

B. People Handling

  1. Selects qualified and competent personnel for the section/brand/category.
  2. Monitors the selling capacity of each sales associate and inventory specialist to ensure the achievement of sales and operational goals.
  3. Orients, coaches, and trains sales associates and inventory specialists.
  4. Evaluate performance to ensure productivity and competence.
  5. Ensures discipline and morale of sales associates and inventory specialists.
  6. Communicate company policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  7. Monitors staff grooming and uniform requirements.
  8. Allocates work schedules of sales personnel to avoid operational disruptions

C. Customer Service

  1. Supervises selling operation within the section and sees to it that all customers are well attended to.
  2. Attends to customer complaints regarding problems encountered on merchandise purchased from the store.

D. Area Management

  1. Maintains a clean, neat, and organized shopping environment for customers.
  2. Responsible for merchandise security to prevent pilferage and losses.

E. Visual Merchandising

  1. Executes visual presentations and merchandise displays based on company and brand standards.
  2. Supervises the execution of merchandise display in the assigned area ensuring consistency with safety standards and store theme.
  3. Imbibes and communicates merchandise philosophy and principles to ensure the upholding of the product's image standards.
  4. Initiates merchandise feedback that can assist in-store merchandise editing.

F. Inventory Management

  1. Ensures accuracy and completeness of merchandise during movement from receiving to selling area.
  2. Monitors and controls aging inventory and recommends proper action plans for slow and fast-moving merchandise.
  3. Directs deliveries to and from the store docking area to ensure that items are properly received on documents and in the system.
  4. Monitors issuance of GWPs, samples, and other items that help promote the merchandise in-store.
  5. Manages store replenishment process to maximize availability and minimize the stock shortage
  6. Informs and requests for the adjustment of all noted discrepancies.
  7. Recommends items for dropping and/or donation. (Items below OLA standard, Merchandising decides)
  8. Reports defective merchandise for proper action.

Job Dimensions:

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in any field.
  • At least 3 to 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Required Skill(s): Great in communication and interpersonal skills, Resilience;
  • Excellent Customer Service; Attention to detail; With business acumen; A team player and excellent leadership skills.
  • Preferably Supervisor /5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employee specialized in Sales - Retail / General or equivalent.
  • Previously handled Beauty Department is a plus but not required.
