The role
The Senior Field Operations Engineer is responsible for the effective management, upkeep, and maintenance of all assigned tower infrastructure. Their primary goal is to guarantee continuous, uninterrupted service delivery by minimizing downtime and upholding excellent operational standards across their area/sites.

Your Responsibilities

• Operational Management & Fault Resolution Oversees daily site operations and ensures prompt handling and fixing of all service faults and issues.
• Monitors and analyzes outages resulting from process failures or poor workmanship, then implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Manages asset health by tracking equipment status, reporting performance, and recommending necessary upgrades or replacements.
• Ensures all activities meet strict Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.
• Quality Assurance & Infrastructure Oversight Conducts regular site visits to inspect infrastructure condition and train field teams on best operational practices.
• Verifies adherence to scheduled preventive (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) standards.
• Manages the site acceptance process, ensuring new sites fully comply with all operational and contractual requirements.

Vendor, Inventory, & Customer Relations

• Collaborates with external vendors and contractors to guarantee seamless service support.
• Tracks vendor performance, focusing especially on the speed and quality of fault resolution, and manages the inventory/availability of necessary spare parts.
• Promptly addresses customer complaints to build strong relationships and ensure high satisfaction.

Security & Strategy

• Develops and recommends site security improvements and theft reduction initiatives.
• Implements risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the tower infrastructure.

Reporting

• Generates detailed reports on field operations performance, highlighting critical issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Performs additional tasks as required to support business needs.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related field. Specialized training or certifications in telecom operations is a plus.
• With at least 3 years of work experience in telecom or tower operations, maintenance, or a similar role.
• Experience in field operations and vendor management.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with practical application in telecom operations.
• Hands-on technical knowledge of telecom/tower infrastructure operations and maintenance.
• Effective communication skills to clearly articulate operational needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively with vendors, contractors, and field teams.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
