This hiring is for an ESL Test Evaluator for RareJob English Assessment, Inc. to be assigned in Cagayan de Oro.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Assessment

    • Scores multiple English language tests (e.g., speaking, writing, reading. listening) according to set client standards and evaluation requirements.

    • Delivers high-quality evaluation with high productivity.

    • Works closely with Team Leaders / Operations Staff to meet deadlines and reports discrepancies or improvement points in evaluation tools.

    • Keeps knowledge of scoring and evaluation up-to-date through self-review, supplementary activities, and calibration practices.

    • Participates in other assessment-related initiatives, such as trial projects, training sessions, or potential future projects, based on the Company's direction

  • Compliance

    • Communicate concerns, risks to operations, and issues that affect evaluation to the appropriate channels, including Team Leaders / Operations Staff, Subject Matter Experts, Supervisor, and Manager.

    • Maintains confidentiality of all organizational and client information.

    • Actively participates in team meetings, company events, feedback surveys, and other company-related activities as requested by the Management.

    • Ensures all actions follow the recommended guidelines and emulate the Code of Conduct, mission, vision, and values set by the Management.

    • Executes additional tasks as required by the Management.

WORK SETUP

We're looking for individuals who can work in a hybrid setup (Primarily work from home, but staff are required to report onsite in cases of technical issues, onsite trainings, company events, and other company-directed projects and tasks)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least a Senior High School Graduate (preferably HUMSS Strand) or with a Bachelor's Degree in any 4-year course (but preferably Education / English Language / Linguistics)

  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply

  • Having an ESL Teaching experience is an advantage

    • Detail-oriented and able to make fair, unbiased judgments

    • Keeps emotions in check when evaluating performance

    • Receptive to feedback and continuously works to improve

    • Follows guidelines and instructions carefully

  • Knowledge & Background

    • Solid grasp of the English language

    • Basic understanding of CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)

    • Familiarity with language proficiency levels and language assessment concepts

    • Knows how to interpret evaluation rubrics, rules, and processes

  • Skills

    • Clear and effective communication skills

    • Basic evaluation or assessment experience (a plus)

    • Typing accuracy and reasonable speed

    • Basic troubleshooting and computer navigation skills

SALARY & BENEFITS OFFERED

  • Gross starting salary range of Php 17,000 - Php 19,000, depending on skills and assessment results
