The Accounting Head – Tax Compliance and Payroll will manage the tax compliance and payroll functions across companies, ensuring that all payroll activities are compliant with applicable regulations and taxes are accurately filed. This role involves overseeing tax filings, payroll processing, and supporting the finance team with tax planning and audit preparation. Job Description Oversee the payroll function for all companies, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll for all employees.

Ensure compliance with national and local tax laws, including preparation and submission of tax returns and filings. Handling of Business Registrations and Terminations Handling of LGU Business Permits renewals Review and ensure the accuracy of tax calculations, withholdings, and payroll taxes. Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and payroll regulations and advise management on any impact to the company.

Handle inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and employee benefits. Checking of all non-confidential payroll and summary Assist with BIR audits and provide necessary documentation related to payroll and tax compliance. Develop and implement strategies to minimize tax liabilities while maintaining compliance.

Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate tracking of employee benefits, deductions, and any other payroll-related items. Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure correct employee payroll data. Supervise the tax and payroll team, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations.

KPIs Payroll Accuracy : Percentage of payroll errors or discrepancies. Accuracy Target is 100% Timely payment of government contributions : Target is zero late payment or zero penalty Tax Filing Timeliness : Percentage of tax filings submitted by the deadline. Target is zero later filing Tax Compliance : Number of penalties or fines for tax-related issues.

Target is zero Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CFA preferred). 7+ years of experience in Accounting, particularly in General Ledger and Tax.

Strong knowledge of Tax Rulings and Compliances With experienced in handling BIR Tax Assessments Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in accounting software, financial modeling, and Microsoft Excel.
