Overview

We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated UI/UX Designer to lead the design and user

experience of our next generation of web applications. This role is unique in that it places a

strong emphasis on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) principles, ensuring that our final

products are not just visually appealing, but intuitively designed to be used exactly the way they

look. The ideal candidate blends exceptional aesthetic sensibility with deep analytical rigor to

create designs where form follows function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design process for complex web applications, including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using Figma.
  • Champion the principle of "looks the way it works," ensuring every visual element (UI) clearly communicates its function (UX) and behavior to the user.
  • Translate static high-fidelity designs into functional, front-end web work (using HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript) to test interaction patterns and rapidly facilitate engineering implementation.
  • Plan and conduct user research (interviews, surveys, usability testing) to validate design decisions and gather data on human interaction effectiveness.
  • Contribute to, maintain, and enforce a consistent design system and style guide to ensure brand consistency and component reusability across all web applications.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to define requirements and goals, and collaborate with Engineers to ensure technical feasibility and successful implementation of the final design.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A strong online portfolio demonstrating deep expertise in designing complex, data-heavy web applications (not just marketing websites or mobile apps).
  • UI/UX Mastery: Proven, expert proficiency in Figma for advanced prototyping and collaborative design delivery.
  • Front-End Competency: Demonstrated ability to translate static designs into functional front-end web work (proficiency in HTML, CSS/SASS, and basic JavaScript/framework understanding is required for prototyping and communication).
  • HCI Foundation: Demonstrated understanding and application of core Human-Computer Interaction principles, cognitive psychology, and usability heuristics.
  • Information Architecture: Expertise in structuring complex information and navigational models for highly functional applications.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

*Must be amenable working on the US Time zone.
