As our Senior Accountant, you will play a vital role in managing the school's financial health, ensuring compliance with local and international standards, and supporting strategic decision-making. Responsibilities

Prepare checks, verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable in QuickBooks

Process withholding tax payables in EFPS

Do bank reconciliations

Produce error-free accounting reports, analyze financial information, and summarize financial status

Provide technical support to the Controller & Payroll Master

Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures

Participate in a financial setting and in the forecasting process

Prepare financial statements and assist with tax audits and tax returns

Support the month-end and year-end close process

Ensure compliance with GAAP Principles

In charge of filing CVs, all contracts, agreements, and insurance policies

In charge of fixed assets inventory

Adheres to the school and/or staff handbook and conducts one's actions and behavior accordingly.

Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Skills Description

Bachelor's degree in accountancy, Finance, or a related field (CPA license preferred).

At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or senior role.

Experience in the education sector or an international organization is an advantage.

Familiarity with both local and international accounting standards.

Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, and analysis in an educational or service-oriented environment.

Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Proficiency in BIR compliance and other government-mandated reporting.

Hands-on experience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.

Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and mentor a finance team.

High attention to detail, integrity, and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to thrive in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
