Overview

We are looking for a Junior Wintel Engineer to support the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows-based systems and related infrastructure. The role is ideal for early-career IT professionals with hands-on experience in Wintel environments, VMware, Office 365, Active Directory, and basic SQL.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day administration of Windows servers and Wintel-based infrastructure.
  • Perform basic configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring of VMware environments.
  • Assist with user and group management in Active Directory (creation, modification, access requests).
  • Provide support for Office 365 applications, including mailbox setup, permissions, and basic tenant-level tasks.
  • Conduct routine system checks, patching, and updates across servers and applications.
  • Monitor system performance and escalate incidents as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining SQL databases (basic queries, monitoring, backups).
  • Document technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to support ongoing IT projects and improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 1–2 years hands-on experience in a Wintel or IT infrastructure support role.
  • Working knowledge of:
  • Windows Server administration
  • VMware (ESXi, vCenter)
  • Office 365 / Microsoft 365
  • Active Directory (users, groups, GPO basics)
  • Basic SQL (queries, backups, monitoring)
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and ITIL processes is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and willingness to learn.

Soft Skills

  • Good communication and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
  • Team player with a growth mindset.

Nice-to-Have

  • Certifications such as MCSA, Azure Fundamentals, VMware VCTA, or ITIL Foundation.
  • Experience with scripting (PowerShell) is an advantage.

Job Type: Fixed term

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Php25, Php27,000.00 per month
