Job Opening: Research & Product Development (R&D) Specialist

Qualification: Chemical Engineering Graduate

Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Job Overview

The R&D Specialist will help develop and improve products from concept to production. You will handle lab trials, costing, documentation, product testing, and scale-up while ensuring food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. This role is for someone organized, analytical, and capable of managing multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow and implement the company's Product Design & Development Process.
  • Keep all product formulations accurate, complete, and strictly confidential.
  • Address any quality, food safety, or production concerns related to product formulations.
  • Coordinate with QA, Production, and Engineering teams during product trials and roll-outs.
  • Lead troubleshooting for product or process issues.
  • Stop production immediately when unsafe conditions occur.
  • Recommend improvements to existing products and processes.
  • Conduct product validation tests, risk production runs, and shelf-life studies.
  • Prepare and organize documentation such as HACCP Plans and SSOPs for new products.
  • Help in assessing and deciding on food safety issues like CCPs and contamination concerns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering (license is an advantage).
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Creative, innovative, and open to new ideas.
  • A team player who is motivated and results-oriented.
  • Highly organized with good time and project management skills.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Knowledgeable in documentation and basic food safety principles is a plus.
