Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Strategy: Collaborate with the Maintenance Lead to develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements. This includes identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Project Execution & Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day execution of maintenance projects, ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with established plans and safety protocols. This involves coordinating with various teams and contractors, monitoring progress, and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Resource Management: Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure that projects are adequately staffed and supplied.
  • Budget Control: Monitor project expenditures and take corrective action as needed to ensure that projects stay within budget.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that maintenance work meets or exceeds industry standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and procedures to protect workers and prevent accidents.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with all stakeholders, including management, operations teams, and contractors, to ensure that everyone is informed and aligned on project goals and progress.
  • Performance Reporting: Regularly report on project status, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in maintenance or project management, preferably in the heavy industry sector.
  • Preferably a Professional Mechanical Engineer, Professional Electrical Engineer, Registered Mechanical Engineer, Registered Electrical Engineer
  • Familiarity with maintenance best practices, asset management, and project management methodologies.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
