Job Summary:

The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs (QTO), and project budgets for land development projects. This role ensures that all cost components—materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead—are thoroughly analyzed to support bidding, project planning, and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for earthworks, roadworks, drainage, utilities, landscaping, and other land development works.
  • Analyze project plans, drawings, and specifications to determine scope and materials.
  • Prepare cost estimates, bill of quantities (BOQ), and cost breakdowns aligned with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for updated material, labor, and equipment pricing.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor proposals and make recommendations.
  • Assist in preparing bids, budgets, and tender documents.
  • Conduct site visits to validate quantities, work conditions, and assumptions.
  • Work closely with Project Engineers and Site Teams for cost monitoring and validation.
  • Ensure estimates are aligned with company standards and historical cost data.
  • Prepare value engineering recommendations to optimize project cost.
  • Maintain updated cost database for land development projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Licensed or Non-Licensed).
  • Preferably with experience in land development estimation (horizontal projects).
  • Strong knowledge of earthworks, roadworks, drainage, and utilities construction methods.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel), AutoCAD, and estimating tools/software.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with cost control and project scheduling tools.
  • Knowledge in value engineering and construction methodologies.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term

Contract length: 22 months

Pay: Php20,000.00 per month
