Position Overview

The Director of Operations ensures the disciplined, efficient, and culture-driven running of Xpress' day-to-day operations. This role translates company strategy and OKRs into execution across the operational core, drives alignment with the Mission and Vision, and establishes scalable processes that sustain growth.

The Director of Operations works closely with the Chief of Staff (who oversees cross-company objectives & projects) and the People Operations Manager (who focuses on employee experience, dept performance and engagement), while partnering with Expansion Managers to ensure new regions are operationally established.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Execution

2. Translate CEO directives and company strategy into actionable operational plans.

3. Ensure delivery and tracking of company OKRs across operational functions.
4. Drive and instill the company Mission and Vision into daily operations and culture.

5. Standardize dashboards and reporting to provide visibility into KPIs.

6. Human Resources

7. Oversee HR operations, recruitment, and retention programs.

8. Implement fair and consistent payroll, and disciplinary systems
9. Review employee and department performance in conjunction with CEO and leadership

10. Drive employee engagement and culture initiatives in partnership with the People Operations Manager.

11. Facilities & Administration

12. Manage offices, hubs, warehouses, and driver facilities (Pasig, Parañaque, Boracay, Bataan, and new sites).

13. Oversee the department which is responsible for procurement, vendor management, utilities, and office expansions.

14. Ensure all permits and licenses are secured and renewed on time.

15. Regional Operations

16. Work closely with Expansion Managers to transition new launches into stable daily operations.

17. Standardize regional operating procedures for consistency across provinces.

18. Compliance, Safety & Training

19. Partner with the Safety & Training consultant to implement safety programs, audits, and training standards for drivers and staff.

20. Partner with the Legal Officer to ensure compliance with all government regulations and LGU requirements

21. Manage operational risk, escalating issues promptly.

22. Customer Service

23. Oversee day-to-day customer service operations and response standards.

24. Ensure fast resolution of passenger and driver complaints, with feedback loops into operations.

25. Other Duties

26. Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time, or as may be necessary to ensure smooth operations and business continuity.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in operations management, preferably in fast moving and high-scale consumer services.
• Strong background in HR, compliance, and facilities management.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver company-wide OKRs and operational KPIs.
• Skilled at translating mission/vision into ground-level execution.
• Effective communicator and people leader in diverse, high-pressure environments.
• Willingness to travel nationwide as required.
