Job Summary

The WordPress Developer is responsible in providing development, maintenance, and troubleshooting for WordPress and other CMS sites; and ensuring reliable hosting operation, performant pages, and excellent customer service for site owners.

Must have

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years customer service experience and ≥1 year working with CMS (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Laravel, or similar).
  • Education: High School Diploma, general education degree, or equivalent.
  • Technical skills: Hands-on experience troubleshooting and managing WordPress sites including PHP, MySQL, SSH, WP-CLI, DNS, and web hosting environments.
  • Web hosting knowledge: Advanced knowledge of web hosting (control panels, FTP/SFTP, server basics, backups, SSL installation).
  • Frontend basics: Practical understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for theme fixes and small UI adjustments.
  • SEO fundamentals: Fundamental knowledge of on-page SEO best practices and performance optimization.
  • Communication: Intermediate English communication skills, able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical customers.
  • Interpersonal skills: Professional, customer-focused, patient, and collaborative with internal teams.
  • Attention to detail: Strong quality control when editing code, content, and configurations.
  • Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tickets and tasks concurrently while meeting SLAs.

Nice to have

  • Advanced SEO: Experience with technical SEO, schema, and performance tools.
  • Plugin/theme development: Experience building or customizing WordPress plugins and themes.
  • Dev tooling: Familiarity with version control (Git), staging workflows, and deployment processes.
  • Monitoring: Exposure to uptime, logging, or performance monitoring tools.
  • Other CMS experience: Deeper experience in Joomla, Drupal, or Laravel CMS projects.
