Job Summary:

The Transport Supervisor is responsible for planning and organizing priorities related to transport activities and tasks; recognizes and obtains required equipment and/or materials that are needed to do the job; accomplishes tasks within established timelines; understands obstacles/ roadblocks; and makes alternative plans to ensure timely task accomplishment within the strategic direction and targets of 2GO Logistics.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures profitability and efficient management of Transport.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements operational procedures for the transfer and delivery of cargo at the shortest lead-time and cost efficient.
  • Streamlines processes and optimizes utilization of resources.
  • Plans cost-savings initiatives and streamlines processes and optimizes utilization of resources.
  • Analyzing inefficiencies and initiates corrective actions to meet transport operations financial objectives.
  • Reviews On-time-Delivery performance and discuss with internal business units resolutions under performance against desired target.
  • Initiates operating cost reduction by reviewing and enhancing existing processes and ensure documentation of such.
  • Responsible for providing on-time information to management in order to execute business plans in efficient manner.
  • Does regular representation and business reviews with the Transport Partner and handles and resolves clients' complaints
  • Reviews and approves transport billings, invoices, and other relevant documents.
  • Performs other functions that may be assigned by immediate leader from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any 4-year business course
  • With 4 years' work experience in Logistics
  • With working knowledge in any Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Has good communication skills, analytical skills, detail oriented and records management
  • Willing to work on shifting schedule
