Your Role
As a Financial Planning & Analysis analyst, you will:

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Analysis:
• Conduct detailed financial analysis of agribusiness operations, including cost analysis, profitability analysis, and trend analysis.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts for agribusiness operations.
• Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to ensure alignment with financial goals.
• Facilitate meetings with key stakeholders, farm manager, regional admins and other subject matter experts to analyse, track and manage performance
• Prepare, review and issue monthly profit and loss reports for each farm and consolidated group
• Financial Reporting:
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Cost Management:
• Analyze and monitor costs related to agribusiness operations, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Implement cost control measures and track their effectiveness.
• Data Management:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and databases.
• Optimise and standardise existing reports, particularly the transition of spreadsheet-based reporting to BI visualisation.
• Utilize financial software and tools to streamline data management and reporting processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
• Experience in agribusiness or related industries is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated use of data control and visualisation tools such as Power Pivot, Power Query and/or Power BI

Skills And Competencies

• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in analysing and communicating financial information
• Strong proficiency in accounting software, Power BI and Excel including financial modelling
• Ability to manipulate large data sets and extract key insights
• Experience in data visualization and dashboard creation.
• Advantageous to have or willingness to learn programs to optimise business processes such as Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Interest in the application and development of AI tools within Power BI and related business processes.
