Job Description

As a Senior Data Investigation Analyst, you'll take the lead in resolving complex data issues, building documentation, coaching junior team members, and supporting global teams with insights that drive fast, high-quality decisions. You'll be the go-to expert for troubleshooting data pipelines and performance.

The Qualifications We Seek

• 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics
• Experience with Networking performance and QoE measurements (mobile and fixed)
• Familiarity with various SQL dialects, data warehouses, and pipelines (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, RedShift, Athena, Trino, Spark)
• Ability to read Python and R code and understand logic
• Experienced in handling internal stakeholders
• Strong spoken and written English
• Detail-oriented and skilled at documenting workflows
• Proficient with Confluence, Google Docs, Slack, Zendesk, or similar tools
• Curiosity and investigative mindset

Nice to Have:

• Customer-facing experience
• BPO or KPO background
• Background in statistical mathematics

Expectations for Success:

• Taking a hands-on approach and leading the most complex investigations
• Understanding and documenting multiple data products and processing pipelines by engaging with product managers, engineers, and data scientists, reviewing documentation, reading code, and researching Slack
• Mentoring and guiding junior team members in troubleshooting, best practices, and cross-team collaboration within the data processing environment
• Integrating LLM/AI tools into workflows for faster, more accurate resolutions
• Raising concerns and suggesting process improvements proactively to your manager

Your Daily Tasks

• Process incoming questions from Customer Support, TAMs, or NDAs via Zendesk
• Troubleshoot data issues, identify the correct system, and create Jira tickets for the appropriate team
• Investigate poorly performing queries to determine the root cause
• Respond to Zendesk tickets when observed data values reflect normal behavior
• Collect answers to previously asked questions in Slack and publish them in a knowledge base
• Document methodology, data models, and processing pipelines:
• Use OpenMetadata whenever possible
• Use a dedicated Confluence space when applicable
• Leverage LLM for frequently asked questions
• Document steps taken and final resolutions in Zendesk
• Coach and train junior team members
• Share pod progress, blockers, wins, and risks with the manager
