Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily inspections, measurements, and record all equipment parameters and noticeable conditions related to the Sugar Mill Lubrication System. This includes actively monitoring mill bearing temperatures, adjusting lubricant feed timing or quantity, measuring vibration and shock loads, and ensuring smooth and trouble-free operation of the mill.
  • Execute maintenance duties and perform quick repairs to address basic issues in the Sugar Mill Lubrication System. The technician must be capable of troubleshooting and resolving problems with equipment used for lubricant feeding to restore normal operations.
  • Be on-call for emergency repairs outside regular working hours, as the Sugar Mill operates 24/7. The technician must remain on standby for first response, promptly notify their Area Supervisor, and coordinate effectively to resolve issues and report findings to both the Supervisor and the COMPANY.
  • Technicians are allowed to work up to six (6) days per week, not exceeding 48 hours, based on actual onsite exposure. Break times or days off may be adjusted as appropriate, depending on individual agreements with the Sugar Factory.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the COMPANY or the supervising representatives of the Sugar Factory within the designated area of responsibility, ensuring full compliance with safety protocols.
Pre-Post Maintenance
  • Conduct system assessments on the Sugar Mill Lubrication or Auto-Greasing System as scheduled or instructed by the COMPANY.
  • Prepare an assessment report highlighting observations or anomalies found during inspection. Submit the report to the Sugar Factory's representative prior to implementing corrective actions. Any proposal for additional parts must be reviewed and approved by the COMPANY before purchase, unless otherwise permitted for direct supply to the Sugar Factory.
  • Perform system flushing, cleaning, replacement of worn or damaged parts, and other essential repairs. Conduct system commissioning to ensure optimal operation.
  • Prepare a field handover sheet acknowledged by the Sugar Factory's representative and provide a hard copy of the maintenance report afterward. Electronic copies must also be distributed to both the Sugar Factory and COMPANY representatives.
Emergency Maintenance (During Season Operation)
  • During daily system monitoring, any critical issue that may cause system malfunction or production failure must be addressed immediately. If replacement parts are not required, the technician shall promptly inform the Sugar Factory's representative and the COMPANY, then execute corrective actions as a quick remedial measure.
  • If replacement parts are required, the technician must inform their Affiliate Supervisor for consultation or to request necessary parts to be dispatched onsite. Before any repair or replacement, if additional costs are involved, the Affiliate Supervisor must inform and obtain approval from the COMPANY for scope clarification, cost confirmation, and estimated repair time.
  • Once corrective action is successfully completed, the Sugar Refinery Assistant or technician shall notify the Sugar Factory's representative and the COMPANY to close the emergency repair report.
