Job Summary:

The HSE Assistant Manager ensures full compliance with national and local SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) regulations across the company, its clients, and vendors. Acting as the company's SHEQ representative, the role leads audits, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives, aligning all programs with national and global standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for new and existing sites.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure SHEQ compliance and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Manage SHEQ programs to meet regulatory and client-specific requirements.
  • Monitor incident trends and develop strategies to improve safety performance.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response and evacuation plans.
  • Represent the company during audits and regulatory inspections; prepare reports and corrective action plans.
  • Oversee internal audits, QMS performance, and liaise with certification bodies.
  • Deliver training on QMS, OSH, risk analysis, and industry best practices.
  • Establish and monitor SHEQ procedures and safe work instructions.
  • Conduct environmental compliance assessments and ensure proper waste management.
  • Review and enhance business continuity plans in collaboration with management.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental laws and international standards.
  • Support SHEQ requirements in bids and proposals.
  • Assist in corporate sustainability initiatives and community engagement programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Registered Engineer or Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in environmental, health, and safety compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, occupational health and safety standards, and quality control systems.
