Role Summary

The Legal Counsel is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to the company by drafting and reviewing contracts, correspondence, regulatory and compliance reports, and other legal documents. The role ensures adherence to applicable laws, rules, and regulations to support business objectives and maintain smooth and compliant business operations.

The Legal Counsel also conducts thorough legal research, prepares initial recommendations and legal opinions, and serves as the primary legal correspondent for the assigned Business Unit (BU), contributing to both business growth and client expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and evaluate contracts, agreements, and legal documents to safeguard the company's interests.
  • Prepare and review correspondence, regulatory filings, and compliance reports.
  • Provide initial legal research, recommendations, and opinions to support business decisions and operations.
  • Act as the main legal contact for the assigned Business Unit (BU).
  • Support in the formulation and review of company policies to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation.

  • Advise on and ensure compliance with:

  • Corporate law and regulatory requirements (SEC, tax laws, etc.)

  • Labor law practices
  • Data privacy implementation
  • Intellectual property protection
  • Estate and trust arrangements
  • Provide assistance in corporate secretarial duties and governance compliance.

General Qualifications

  • Member in good standing of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).
  • At least two (2) years of corporate law work experience.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with business leaders.
