Job Summary:

The Planning Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning and coordination of logistics, operations, and resource management to ensure the efficient and timely execution of maritime projects and activities. This role involves collaborating with various departments, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics and Operations Planning:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of logistical plans for maritime operations.
  • Coordinate vessel schedules, port calls, and cargo handling to ensure timely and efficient operations.
  • Ensure all operations comply with maritime regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of operations, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Act as a liaison between different departments, including operations, logistics, and customer service, to facilitate smooth coordination.
  • Communicate schedules, changes, and updates clearly to all relevant parties.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of concern.
  • Generate reports on operational performance, resource utilization, and compliance for management review.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics, operations, or planning within the maritime industry.
  • Familiarity with maritime regulations and operational procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Adaptable and flexible, with a strong ability to manage change.
