Gardener

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Gardener / Groundskeeper to maintain and enhance the cleanliness, health, and aesthetic appearance of our outdoor spaces in Tabangao, Batangas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas are visually appealing and well-maintained at all times.

1. Plant Care and Upkeep

2. Watering: Consistently watering plants, lawns, shrubs, and trees to ensure proper hydration.

3. Pruning and Trimming: Shaping trees, hedges, and shrubs to encourage growth and enhance their appearance.
4. Fertilizing: Applying fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments to promote plant health.

5. Weeding: Removing weeds to keep garden areas clean and well-maintained.

6. Planting and Landscaping

7. Choosing and Planting Plants: Selecting plants that suit the soil and sunlight conditions, then planting flowers, shrubs, and trees based on a garden design.

8. Design and Layout: Creating layouts and arranging plants, rocks, or other decorative elements.

9. Soil Preparation: Preparing the soil by tilling, adding compost, and ensuring it drains properly.

10. Lawn and Landscape Maintenance

11. Mowing and Edging: Cutting grass to the desired height and maintaining clean edges along paths and beds.

12. Leaf and Debris Removal: Clearing away fallen leaves, dead plants, and other debris.

13. Mulching: Applying mulch to help retain moisture, regulate soil temperature, and prevent weed growth.

14. Irrigation and Equipment Upkeep

15. Managing Irrigation Systems: Setting up, inspecting, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure consistent watering.

16. Tool Maintenance: Cleaning, sharpening, and caring for gardening tools like mowers, trimmers, and shears.

17. Pest and Disease Control

18. Identifying Pests and Diseases: Monitoring for signs of infestations or disease in plants.

19. Treatment Application: Using pesticides, herbicides, or natural treatments to protect plants as needed.

20. Seasonal Cleanup and General Maintenance

21. Preparing for Seasonal Changes: Clearing beds, removing dead plants, and readying gardens for new seasons.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or completion of a relevant vocational course
• Prior experience working as a Gardener or Groundskeeper is required
• Must have complete employment requirements (e.g., valid IDs, NBI clearance, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, etc.)
• Willing to be assigned to Tabangao, Batangas
• Physically fit and capable of performing outdoor manual labor
