Job Description Details

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting. This role involves managing daily accounting functions, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting management through reliable financial information. The Accounting Manager also provides leadership to the accounting team, ensuring adherence to internal controls and best practices.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with PFRS.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement accounting procedures and internal controls.
  • Monitor month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and government agencies on reporting and compliance.
  • Provide management with financial reports and insights to support decision-making.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise accounting staff to achieve departmental goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accountancy
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • 3–5 years of experience in an accounting leadership role (e.g., Supervisor, Team Lead, or Manager)
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS)
  • Knowledge of local taxation and compliance requirements is highly desirable
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel; ERP system experience is a plus
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines
