Job Summary:

Kayana is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Engineer with significant hands-on experience in cloud-native infrastructure and platform engineering. This role is key to designing and scaling cloud-based architectures that support secure, efficient, and resilient digital solutions. Lead cloud-native initiatives, from container orchestration to infrastructure-as-code, while supporting data and AI products with robust cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy cloud-native infrastructure architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Lead containerization and orchestration efforts using Kubernetes, Docker, and related technologies.
  • Build and manage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, data engineering, and security teams to support scalable fintech and AI workloads.
  • Champion cloud automation, observability, and cost-optimized performance tuning.
  • Implement cloud-native networking, storage, and identity services for high availability and security.
  • Establish cloud governance, controls, and compliance aligned with industry regulations.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and drive cloud solution innovation.

Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles.
  • Proven experience with cloud-native platforms and tools (Kubernetes, Helm, Istio, Prometheus).
  • Expertise in at least one public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP); multi-cloud experience is a plus.
  • Skilled in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
  • Familiarity with security, governance, and compliance in regulated industries, especially fintech or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, service mesh, and API gateways.

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
