We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with hands-on experience in Australian accounting standards and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end financial operations, reporting, and statutory compliance, and play a vital role in supporting business decision-making processes.

As an AU Accountant, your duties and responsibilities include:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards (AASB) and statutory regulations.
  • Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS), Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Payroll Tax, and other statutory filings with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
  • Oversee and review accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review GST and income tax returns in collaboration with external auditors or tax agents.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Implement and improve accounting systems, processes, and internal controls.
  • Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and accounting regulations in Australia.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification (preferred).
  • 7+ years of accounting experience, with minimum 4 years in an Australian accounting environment (either in-house or in a public practice firm).
  • Strong knowledge of Australian taxation (GST, FBT, PAYG, Superannuation).
  • Experience using Australian accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or SAP.
  • Excellent understanding of ATO regulations and compliance reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to confidently communicate with clients and foreign counterparts.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proactive, punctual, and a strong team player with a high attention to detail.
  • Willing to be assigned to Subic, Clark, Tarlac, Bataan, or Iba, Zambales.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php40, Php100,000.00 per month
