We are looking for a Senior Accountant to support our client in managing and overseeing larger accounting functions. This role is critical to ensuring the timely and accurate production of accrual-based financial statements. You will be responsible for executing comprehensive month-end close routines, preparing reconciliations, reviewing financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients in a stable, day-shift schedule while working from home. You will play an integral role in maintaining accurate financial data, supporting client leadership teams, and strengthening financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Execute month-end close processes including reconciliations, variance analysis, and journal entries.
  • Review financial transactions and ensure accurate, up-to-date records.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including collections and risk identification.
  • Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets and income statements.
  • Update and maintain accurate financial databases.
  • Ensure compliance with General Accounting Standards and legal guidelines.
  • Stay updated on tax changes and accounting trends.
  • Assist with bookkeeping, administrative, and audit-related tasks as needed.

Desirable Skills

  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in reconciliations, reporting, and record-keeping.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct variance analysis and identify discrepancies.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO): Essential for this role.
  • Excel Expertise: Advanced knowledge of pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams and auditors.
  • Integrity & Judgment: High ethical standards in all financial dealings.
  • Adaptability: Comfort working across multiple client accounts in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of professional accounting experience.
  • Proven expertise in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to start as soon as possible.
