We are looking for a highly skilled General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join our accounting team support, a global player in the distribution and retail industry. This role is ideal for professionals with strong accounting fundamentals, excellent analytical skills, and a deep understanding of both Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record accurate and timely journal entries in compliance with accounting standards
  • Manage month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations for accuracy and policy compliance
  • Oversee AR/AP processes, including invoice posting, payment processing, and collections
  • Perform detailed bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Support financial statement preparation and management reporting
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for audits and financial reviews

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of General Ledger accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, AR, and AP
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience in analyzing financial statements and creating reports
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving environment

Preferred:

  • Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or retail industries
  • Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar accounting platforms
  • CPA or CMA (or currently pursuing certification)
  • Exposure to US-based accounting standards or international accounting practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php40, Php45,000.00 per month
