Sales Officer – Petrochemical Plastic Resin Industry

Job Description:
We are looking for a highly driven and experienced Sales Officer with a solid background in selling plastic resins. (e.g., PE/PE) to Philippine-based plastic manufacturers. The Sales Officer will be responsible for generating new leads, servicing existing accounts, and growing sales volume across all regions in the Philippines. This role requires strong technical knowledge of plastic resins, excellent customer relationship management skills, and solid understanding of the sales process.
1. Account & Client Management
· Handle and grow assigned customer accounts in the plastic manufacturing sector and build long-term relationships with the customers
· Conduct regular site visits, product consultations, and follow-ups to support customer needs.
2. Business Development
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities with plastic manufacturers nationwide.
· Conduct market research to understand customer requirements, product trends, and competitive positioning.
· Develop strategies to penetrate new markets and product segments.
3. Product Knowledge & Support
· Maintain comprehensive knowledge of plastic resin grades
· Provide technical support on material compatibility and processing concerns (with assistance from suppliers)
· Educate clients on the features and benefits of products sourced from international suppliers.
4. Sales Execution
· Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and product offers to prospective clients.
· Negotiate pricing and payment terms within company guidelines.
· Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely deliveries.
5. Coordination & Reporting
· Work closely with purchasing, logistics, and finance departments for order fulfillment and client servicing.
· Monitor sales performance, customer feedback, and market developments.
· Submit regular reports including sales pipelines, forecasts, and market insights to management.
Qualifications:Education:
· Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
· Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the plastic resin importation or petrochemical distribution industry.
· Strong network within the Philippine plastic manufacturing sector (e.g., packaging, household goods etc).
Technical Skills:
· Solid understanding of various plastic resins and their applications.
· Familiarity with the plastic processing methods used by customers (e.g., injection/blow molding, extrusion, thermoforming, etc).
· Experience in sales, client negotiations, and account management.
Soft Skills:
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Proactive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
· Highly organized with attention to detail and follow-through.
Other Requirements:
· Willing to travel across Luzon/Visayas/Mindanao depending on client location.
· Preferably has own vehicle
· Mandarin proficiency is an advantage
