Accounting and Finance Intern

As an Accounting and Finance Intern at Trion Trade Inc., you will play a crucial role in supporting the integrated functions of Accounting and Finance. This internship is designed to provide exposure to various accounting and financial management processes while assisting in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Accounting (40% of Responsibilities)

• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entry preparation and reconciliation of accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide support during the audit process.
• Help ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP, and other relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with the Accounting team on internal control assessments.

Finance (40% of Responsibilities)

• Support the Accounts Payable and Receivable functions by processing invoices, making payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
• Engage in ad-hoc financial projects as needed.
• Assist in managing financial databases and ensuring data accuracy.
• Work closely with the Inventory team to track and reconcile inventory levels.
• Assist in the management of inventory systems, including data entry and accuracy checks.
• Collaborate on inventory audits and cycle counts.

Additional Responsibilities (10%)

• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the Accounting and Finance departments.
• Participate in cross-functional teams and meetings to gain exposure to various aspects of the business.
• Assist in the documentation of accounting and inventory procedures and policies.
• Provide general administrative support to the Accounting and Finance teams as needed.
