Hi We're Smartsourcing, and we're looking for an AI Infrastructure Linux Administrator to join our growing team full-time, on-site. You'll play a key role in supporting our developers and AI engineers worldwide by keeping our systems fast, secure, and scalable so innovation never stops.

Why This Role Is Different

This isn't your typical Linux admin job. You won't be stuck in ticket queues or maintaining legacy systems. Instead, you'll be architecting and optimising a dynamic hybrid infrastructure that powers both cutting-edge AI workloads and mission-critical client operations across the globe. Based in our Cebu hub, you'll be the backbone of Smartsourcing's infrastructure managing everything from on-prem Proxmox clusters to cloud environments, while collaborating with developers, AI engineers, and cybersecurity experts worldwide.

What You'll Actually Do

Build & Optimize Infrastructure That Scales

• Maintain and optimize Linux servers dedicated to hosting AI/ML environments, ensuring high performance for GPU-intensive workloads.
• Design and maintain robust Debian-based Linux server environments that power multi-client operations
• Orchestrate Proxmox clusters, LXC containers, and Docker workloads with precision
• Manage sophisticated storage: ZFS pools, RAID arrays, Synology NAS, iSCSI/NFS configurations
• Manage GPU-enabled servers (NVIDIA CUDA, drivers, and libraries) for AI training and inference.
• Engineer network infrastructure: work with head of networking using, VLANs, NIC bonding, FortiGate firewalls and VPNs
• Ensure seamless connectivity and IT support for our growing Cebu operations
• Contribute to roadmap for AI infrastructure growth, including edge computing and hybrid cloud strategies.

Automate Everything

• Build CI/CD pipelines that accelerate development and deployment
• Automate provisioning and configuration with Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Bash
• Optimise systems for AI/ML workloads and multi-tenant hosting
• Deploy observability stacks (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki)

Secure & Protect

• Apply system hardening and proactive patching to global standards
• Manage identity via Azure Entra ID and SSO integrations
• Safeguard data across Cebu and international offices
• Support ISO 27001 and SOC2 compliance efforts
• Implement data security measures for sensitive AI datasets and models.

Collaborate Across Continents

• Work alongside developers, AI specialists, and operations teams globally
• Provide expert-level escalation support 24/7
• Write documentation that's actually useful
• Contribute to capacity planning and long-term strategy

About You

Technical Mastery

• Linux guru -- Debian is your home (5+ years hands-on experience)
• Automation-first mindset -- n8n
• Solid programming foundation -- Python preferred
• Virtualisation expert -- Proxmox VE, LXC, Docker (Kubernetes knowledge a plus)
• Network-savvy -- VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs, SSL/TLS
• Storage specialist -- ZFS, RAID, Synology NAS
• Monitoring pro -- Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK/EFK
• Security-aware -- FortiGate, intrusion detection, vulnerability management

Your Superpowers

• You solve problems before others even notice them

• You document processes people actually follow
• Youve got 3+ years in DevOps or infrastructure automation
• Bonus: Experience in BPO/KPO environments or Linux certifications (LFCS/LFCE, RHCE, CKA, CompTIA Linux+)
• Experience with AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) or HPC environments is a plus.
